the christmas after the christmas

While Santa did make a stop in Florida to drop off a few goodies for Ammon (and to pick up Chester) - he also stopped at our house. Ammon’s big present from Santa this year, was waiting for him when he woke up on our first morning home [ 12.27 ].
To say he was excited, would be an understatement. To say that he was jumping for joy, would be laughable. True - no words could describe just how happy this little boy was to have his very own train table - complete with all the trimmings - to go along with the trains he had received on Christmas Day. Santa had listened to Ammon’s fervent pleadings. And, since he really is a good boy most of the time, he was happy to oblige.
It’s undergone many a change since that morning. New track has been added ... with new twists and curves and hills. New structures have been constructed. New trains have made their selves at home. There’s even grass. And this OCD Mom has made certain that there’s a labeled box for everything. But one thing remains constant. And that is the sheer excitement of that little boy when he wakes up every morning.
Hope that never changes.
