hila and jeremy | sneak peek

Short and sweet, and wonderfully candid. Just the way I like it.

How I loved spending that morning with my dear friend, Hila, and her special someone - during their recent visit from Washington. I was excited to meet Jeremy - who I’d heard so much about. And I was beyond thrilled to see Hila again - one of my dearest, sweetest, kindest, and most special friends. It had been too long.

Hila introduced Jeremy to many of our Southern charms - heat in November, humidity, red clay, cotton. Gnats. And as she did so - I enjoyed watching. Watching their connection. Noting their gestures. Their smiles. Their ease.

True. I could have stood idly by and watched all day. That’s how well they did them.

Thankful for the opportunity to capture their love? You bet. Thankful that they have it? More so.

lauren + jeremy = cason | sneak peek

I’ve decided that I like maternity sessions best. 

They suit me. I think that capturing that sort of love - and that sort of anticipation - fits me most. It comforts me, and fills my soul with peace and joy.

Having such lovely subjects - whom we love so very, very dearly - only sweetens the deal.

There’s no question that we love our family. And we love all of the sweet additions that have joined our ranks this year. Baby Cason will be no different. I will be forever grateful for the chance I had to preserve some fleeting moments for our dear cousins. For this time is so special - as they await the arrival of their sweet little babe.

I’m grateful that I could capture them during this stage of their lives - while they are still two ... yet anxiously awaiting three. My heart is warmed by the sweet spirit that I felt that morning. I am in awe of our cousin, Lauren - who is such a gorgeous woman. Inside and out. She will be an incredible mother ... of that I am absolutely certain. And her Jeremy - full of genuine care for her, and a love that radiates around him. All of which make him a pretty awesome guy, himself.

Thank you, both, for asking me to be a part of this experience. It is a blessing I hold dear. We simply can’t wait to meet Baby Cason - what a wonderful way to welcome a new year.
