may your days be merry and bright

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now. I finally felt that Ammon was big enough to fit into his Christmas outfits… five months after Christmas.

Journaling taken from the layout entitled, “Christmas in May”, from Ammon’s first scrapbook.

Of course we had plenty of Christmas outfits ready for our baby-to-be. Our baby-to-be who would be born just in time for Christmas. We had every thing planned out perfectly – the Christmas sleeper for Christmas Eve; the Christmas outfit for Christmas Day; the Santa suit for all those special pictures. What we didn’t plan on was such a tiny little boy. Did you fit into any of these things? No. You swam in them. We created a make-shift Christmas outfit – but it just wasn’t the same. So here you are in your Christmas outfits. And why not think of Christmas again a few months later? Who knows? Maybe one of your future brothers or sisters will be able to make good use of these things – in the right season, of course.

While you were very small when you were born and didn’t pork up as quickly as anticipated – inconveniently making it impossible for you to wear your precious Christmas clothes – we love you immensely… just the way you are. We wouldn’t have had it any other way.

But Christmas in May with Ammon in his cute little outfits brings a smile to many faces, both far and near, I'm sure. So, Merry Christmas in May ;).

I wish I had a tenth of your creative talent. I love looking at scrapbooks and I wish I could make them, I just have the hardest time. I get far to frustrated in making them for it to be enjoyable. You are so darn cute. On that note, just thought you might be interested in a website www.blurb.com. You can make anything into a book. A friend of our just made this past years blog into a book so that they could have a hard copy like a journal. It is awesome and you can even have full color pictures on the cover and everything. Check it out!
