Documenting the milestones of these dear people has been such a treasure to me over the years. That ... and a blessing.

Being a part of these highlights - and walking alongside my lovely friend - has brought me an incredible amount of joy and love, and makes my heart content.

I simply could not be more thrilled for these two - who are about to become three. What wonderful parents they will be to Baby Annelise. She’s due to arrive any day now. And I, for one, can’t wait to meet her.

She will be a masterpiece. That’s for certain.

the christl family | sneak peek

Marie contacted me a while ago about doing some photos of her and her boys - as a special treat for her husband. I was excited to work with a new family ... and to try out some locations that I don’t get to use often. All in my hometown. Always a treat.

And of course ... this afternoon did not disappoint.

A perfect day, in my opinion. Cloudy, windy ... with a nip in the air. A few sprinkles here and there added an element of surprise. But, since we were working with some very active boys ... we were up for the challenge. And, truth be told, I don’t think I would have had it any other way.

A lovely family ... with a simply beautiful mom; and a trio of brothers who so clearly, and so purely, love one another.

I’d like to offer a special thank you to this sweet family - for being so patient with me over these last weeks, while I have dealt with some difficult things. Thank you for your understanding, and for your gracious hearts. Marie, S, C and S: thank you for being you. Because it is you that made my heart sing that Sunday afternoon.

Enjoy. As I have. It is my hope that these captured moments were worth the wait.
